Call for EU journalist,bloggers and writers to Ganja / Azerbaijan

Description
The project "Ganja- 2016 in the stories of Young European Writers" will be implemented by Land of Fire Public Union with the support of Azerbaijan Youth Foundation.

Ganja is the winner of “European Youth Capital 2016” award held by European Youth Forum and European Union. Themission of the project is to introduce Ganja city to European youth through young writers, bloggers and journalists’ stories and articles.

Within the project participants will be informed about the local and international projects, organized in the city, introduced to local youth organization and will have meetings with students and local NGOs. Moreover, they will have several trips to historical monuments and places. At the end of project each of the participants will present their written stories.

After returning to the country from project all participants will organize the publication of written stories through social networks, blogs and etc. Prizes will be awarded to the owner whose story the most widely read and admired.

After the projectbook consisted of the stories is planned to be written in print.

The project "Ganja- 2016 in the stories of Young European Writers" is open to young European journalist bloggers and writers

Costs
Selected participants of "Ganja- 2016 in the stories of Young European Writers" will be provided with the following:

During the project accommodation and meals will be fully covered by the organizers for all selected participants.
The visa and insurance cost is not covered.
Travel costs of participants will be reimbursed according to destinations (60 - 70%).Travel costs of participants will be covered on the basis of original tickets and invoices.
Application
The selection of the 15 participants will be based on responses to application questions regarding motivation as well as past and future involvement in issues to be tackled during the project. In addition, the organizers will take a look at your professional and/or educational and/or volunteering background to see how it is positioning you in a way that would help you disseminate what you will learn. Also, the applicants’ level of English proficiency will play a role in the selection process. Lastly, balance in terms of region and gender will be respected in the final selection.
