Description: Volunteers will participate in an archaeological camp which forms part of a wider project aiming to use archaeology and local history to preserve and promote heritage and culture to the local community and to international volunteers.
Study Theme: The archaeological heritage and its use as a social cohesion of the community. Some guided tours for volunteers will be used to discuss these aspects that will be worked day by day in the field.
Accommodation: The municipal building has several rooms that will be equipped as shared rooms and relationship spaces, dining room etc.
The City Council will arrange for the preparation of food (lunch and dinner) for volunteers. The volunteers will have to prepare breakfast in the municipal building where they will remain and the coordinator must make a purchase for breakfast.
Approximate Location: Muro (Mallorca)
Notes: The local organization makes a big effort to make volunteers involved on the local culture, so there are several activities planned with that goal: cultural tours, visits to natural sites, a traditional dance workshop (Ball de bot) in Muro, etc.
